Self-adhesive tape dispensers are broadly divided into two categories – manual and bench-mounted – so we'll talk about those there.
Hand dispensers are versatile, economical, and of course, portable. They can be used with one hand so that the other hand can hold the box securely and straighten the lid when closing it. You can also buy rose gold tape dispenser online for office use.

Perhaps the most widely used version is the ribbon gun, also called the pistol grip dispenser, although it doesn't look like some kind of gun. Even in its simplest form, the tape gun holds the tape to the spindle, wraps it around the roll to apply to cardboard, and cuts it with a serrated knife as the dispenser is tilted forward.
The handle is fixed under the ribbon spindle, roller and blades so that the tape can be attached and cut in one smooth motion. Then the plastic cap fixed over the blade moves to the free end of the tape and attaches it to the box.
Usually, the spindle has a braking mechanism that prevents the tape from rotating on the tape unless the tape is attached to the box. Adjustable brakes allow the operator to adjust the tension to match the force required to loosen the belt from the roller and the tension required to create a good seal.
